Farmville's St. Patrick's Day Promotion

The valentines day promotion is over in Farmville, but now the new St. Patrick's Day even has started. Now farmers have the option to purchase a pot of gold to place on their farm. This works very similar to the valenties day box. The idea is to collect as many gold pieces as you can, then you can redeem them for a prize.

Farmers can send 5 different pieces of gold to their friends as free gifts. These items are: a gold bar, a gold bear, gold nuggets, a gold chain and a gold coin. The more you collect, the better the prize you can get. You can also buy a gold piece for farmville dollars.

The best way to get a lot of gold pieces is to keep an eye on your friends' farmville feeds, a lot of times they will be giving gold away there, and to request gold from the farmville game by logging in, clicking the pot of gold, select look inside and click the "ask for gold" button.
